About Rustaveli Publishing
This journey started a long time ago when a search for herself led Maka Kartheiser to the United States of America. After bringing her children along, living in a foreign land that she learned to call home, marrying an American, and trying to learn her vocation in life, her roots started pulling her back to a grand realization about the emigration of today. The modern era of emigration, or the act of leaving one's own country to settle permanently in another, very much differs from the emigration of people from the past. In today's awakened consciousness, people have been trapped between a physical and an emotional form of survival. Experiencing a path, lessons learned, struggles, and times of overcoming challenges similar to millions of emigrants around the world, Maka very well captured the impact of being “tugged on” between two countries while living abroad, in her books. After the publication of her fourth book in English, she grew as a publisher.
